Before I arrived, my casino host passed away. I was told that another host would contact me, but that never happened. When I arrived, the rewards system was being upgraded, and the upgrade took 8 hours longer than expected. I spent the entire day in the casino playing, but I didn’t receive any tier points or reward points. I called marketing to discuss this, and Enrique and his supervisor were unwilling to help. They told me to talk to my host, even though they couldn’t seem to understand that my host had passed away three weeks earlier.

If the casino knew about the scheduled upgrade, they could have contacted guests like me to prepare in advance and maybe even print a players card before arrival. I don’t want to hear that it wasn’t possible, especially since the hotel managed to email me about road construction.

Every time I stayed and played at the Venetian before, I reached the premier level. However, this will be my last visit, even if they offer free rooms. Loyalty should work both ways. If you’re hoping to become a rated player, I would definitely NOT recommend playing here.

On a side note, I actually won during this Vegas trip, so this isn’t just a complaint out of frustration.
